African Geomancy: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times

Geomancy, known as Ilm al-Raml in Arabic tradition, is one of Africa's oldest divination systems. It uses patterns of dots to reveal divine guidance about life decisions. The practice involves generating random marks in sand or on paper, then interpreting the resulting figures. There are 16 primary geomantic figures, each with specific meanings related to different aspects of life. In West African tradition, geomancy is called Ifa among the Yoruba people, who consider it a sacred oracle. The system has been recognized by UNESCO as part of the world's intangible cultural heritage. Today, digital geomancy makes this ancient wisdom accessible to everyone, while preserving the mathematical precision and spiritual depth of the original practice.
